Petrocelli Luncheon (Fall this year)
This annual event features a book talk by Elaine Petrocelli, owner of the Book Passage bookstores. After an elegant lunch in the San Francisco Yacht Club dining room, Elaine highlights the best books of the year and provides anecdotes and commentary about the authors, many of whom she knows personally, and the books, all of which she has read. She discusses children’s books, literary fiction, nonfiction, genre literature, travel, gardening, and cookbooks, so there is always something of interest for everyone. Books are sold following the lunch. There is also a very popular silent auction and a raffle.

Blackie's Hay Day (Fall)
This eagerly-awaited event for the whole community is held every year in the fall at Blackie’s pasture. It’s an old fashioned country fair with pony rides, replay races, toy tractor rides, carnival games, jumpies, a climbing wall, a petting zoo as well as entertainment and food. It a family event with something for kids of all ages to enjoy.

The event attracts over 2,000 people from all over Marin County. The funds raised and good will engendered all support the Belvedere Tiburon Library’s children and teen programs and services. It is organized by The Bookmarks.

Teddy Bear Tea (Winter)
Each December, the Bookmarks hosts a Teddy Bear Tea for young children and their families in the Library’s Founders’ Room. Piping hot cocoa, savory eats and festive treats greet little guests at their beautifully decorated tables. A sing along with a special visiting elf and holiday stories read by the children’s librarian, Alicia Bell, complete the day.

Wreath Silent Auction (Winter)
Each year, Bookmarks’ members, friends and local designers create whimsical, dramatic and playful wreaths as a benefit for the Library. The wreaths are bid on during a two-week silent auction period in November and December. The auction closes with a celebration.

Wreaths are sold to the highest bidder. Wreaths are displayed at Corner Books during the silent auction period. The bid book is kept at the front counter.

Academy Night Party (Winter)
The Academy Night Party is a thank you to Foundation members for their support of the Belvedere-Tiburon Library. It’s a gala celebration worthy of the Oscars and is held every other year. The next Academy Night Party will be in 2013.

Gently Used Art Auction (Spring)
Would you like some new art for your home or office? Do you have paintings, prints, framed posters and fine art books you are ready to let someone else enjoy? Donate your gently used art and/or buy something ‘new’ at the ever popular, bi-annual Belvedere-Tiburon Library’s silent art auction. All proceeds support the Library’s art book collection. The next silent art auction will occur in Spring 2014 with a special preview party for Foundation members. Additional information to follow.
