Endowment Opportunities
Outright
Gifts
Tax-deductible gifts of any size or multi-year pledges to
the Endowment Fund provide immediate benefit. Gifts of real
estate, vehicles, securities, and life insurance will similarly
help the Library and provide a tax deduction. In most cases
of appreciated assets, the deduction will be for the full
market value, with elimination of capital gains taxes.
Matching
Gifts
Many companies match employee charitable contributions. Please
check with your company when making a gift to the Library.
Retirement
Plan Assets
You may designate the Library as a beneficiary of retirement
plan assets.
Bequests
It is as easy as adding a sentence or two to your will or
living trust to name the Library as a beneficiary. A gift
in your will or trust helps ensure our future growth.
Major
Gift Recognition
Names
of supporters are placed on a bronze plaque in the main reading
room:
Benefactor $100,000+
Patron $50,000+
Sponsor
$25,000+
Donor $15,000+
Names of additional supoorters are placed on decorative wood
book spines in the main reading room:
Classic
Giver $5,000+
We encourage
all interested people to discuss individual circumstances
with legal and/or financial advisors. Creative planning involving
an endowment may enable you to achieve personal and estate
planning objectives.
All gifts to the Endowment Fund should be designated as such.
Other Library fundraising efforts are directed to specific
needs, and are not part of the Endowment Fund. A gift to the
Endowment Fund will be a permanent investment in the future
of our community. We hope you will be a part of that investment.
